"Be like Mike. Don't be like me," Trick advices a young admirer on the album's intro. And while it's hard to argue with that advice, we're glad that he was "raised a little different" and has "so many clothes" and "so many hoes." With the irritatingly catchy "I'm a Thug" and "Take it to the House," Thugs are Us is more pop than previous Trick releases.
