Four Thieves Gone - The Robbinsville Sessions

Released in early 2006, the Avett Brothers' second studio LP is certified proof of the North Carolina trio's brilliance. There's a lot to love here, starting with the phenomenal, barn-burning "Talk on Indolence" and ending with the tender acapella of "Four Thieves Gone." Other highlights like "Colorshow," "Dancing Daze"  featuring NYC antifolkie Pale Face  and the gorgeous "Famous Flower of Manhattan" anchor the album, despite its awkward track sequencing. A must-listen for any fans of new Americana, punk, bluegrass or songs about girls.
