RED's Of Beauty and Rage strives to explore the opposing forces of good and evil, but the Christian alt-metal rockers' fifth album goes light on the beauty and heavy on the rage. That's not really a surprise -- no one was expecting unicorns and rainbows from this crew. Instead, album opener "Descent" is a slow build into a collection of songs seething with emo-inspired angst. From the all-out screech of "Fight to Forget" to the dramatic "Yours Again" and the frenetic "What You Keep Alive," the message is that even in the darkest times, there's hope -- it's just buried under a lot of baggage.
