Live At The Meadowlands
Label: Frank Sinatra Enterprises
Long a bootleg collector's item, this 1986 recording captures the aging Frank Sinatra in strong form as he performs classics such as "Nice 'n' Easy" and "Moonlight in Vermont" along with later numbers (one unfortunately being the disco-rocking "L.A. Is My Lady"). By this stage, Frank's tattered vocal chords were giving him problems (and would for the rest of his life), but his innate musicality, sense of swing and dramatic abilities were almost as strong as they were during his prime. There are a number of highlights, but the top tune may be the jazz dash through "Mack the Knife."
