Coffee and TV
Label: Parlophone UK
Blur started out as just one of the Brit-pop pack but quickly became one of the most diverse, creative and compelling bands of the 1990s and early 2000s. This two-disc retrospective features 25 tracks, excluding some of their bigger European hits in order to spotlight such melancholy gems as "Blue Jeans," "He Thought of Cars" and "Coffee and TV" (that said, hits such as "Song 2," "Girls and Boys" and "Park Life" are included). The songs on Midlife stand up on their own, though the band really worked at putting out strong, cohesive albums -- so this should send you to their catalogue.
