Birdman doesn't so much rap lines as he projects a persona; each line is another brushstroke in a slow, shiny self-portrait of the Cash Money CEO as the ultimate hip-hop hustler and entrepreneur. But with a guest roster like this, Birdman doesn't have to be an expert emcee. From the hushed intensity of "Money to Blow," which features a slurry verse from Drake, to the whirr of the title track, where Lil' Wayne's distorted rap approximates hip-hop gothic, the album is loaded with great microphone performances.
