Über Bianca Ryan
Bianca Ryan's dad is a Rolling Stones fanatic who named his daughter after Mick Jagger's ex- (and also named his son Jagger). He had the right idea, but he seems to have gotten it backward -- unless Jagger also turns out to be a child prodigy who wins a reality TV talent contest at age 11 by wowing audiences, judges, industry types and, well, America with his big, adult voice. That's what happened to Bianca on America's Got Talent, where she not only won the contest but also impressed the judges from the get-go with her 11-going-on-30 rendition of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," prompting judge Brandy to cry and vow to practice more herself. This wasn't Ryan's first experience in a talent contest, however. The native Philadelphian, who started singing young and got into gospel and RnB at age eight, had previously appeared on Showtime at the Apollo and Star Search, where she lost, making her win on America's Got Talent all the sweeter. A record contract with Columbia and her 2006 self-titled debut album followed.
