Producer Bob Thiele is most famous for showcasing post-bop on Impulse Records, but like anyone else with half a brain, he wanted to show 1968 audiences that Louis Armstrong still had it. "Cabaret" and the Thiele-penned "What a Wonderful World," received plenty of airplay but the latter didn't hit the pop charts until 1988 (!!!) when it was heard in a Vietnam-themed movie.
