Über Bill Burr
Standup comic Bill Burr first came to prominence as a cast member on the lauded Chapelle's Show during its short run on Comedy Central. His first album of live material came out as Emotionally Unavailable in 2007, and in 2010, a third album, Bill Burr: Let It Go hit the shelves. With a biting style similar to Bill Hicks, but minus the pointed political views, Burr's comedy fits in well with the confessional styles of Louis C.K. and the late Greg Giraldo, if slightly less abrasive. Raised in New England, Burr delivers his lines in a somewhat strong Boston accent (certainly not as thick as Denis Leary's, but the accent is there), and often takes on hilariously exaggerated voices. Life in the city, human sexuality, race relations and annoying P.C.-ness are favorite subjects.
